Marriage Enrichemnt Weekend
You and your spouse are invited to a marriage enrichment weekend led by Joey and Connie Shelton of Jackson, where the focus will be honesty and authenticity in relationships.
In recent decades, the wedding industry has focused on the “perfect wedding” and hijacked the importance of a “joy-full marriage.” During this weekend, we’ll answer questions such as: “how do we sustain our marriage over time?” and, more importantly, “how do we flourish in our marriage?” In addition, we’ll have good food (Friday night supper and Saturday breakfast) and plenty of fun and laughter!
Joey currently serves as chaplain and director of church relations at Millsaps College. Connie is serving as the district superintendent for the East Jackson District of the United Methodist Church. They’ve read a few books, pastorally counseled a few couples (pre- and post-ceremony) and been married for 30 years. They do not claim to have perfect answers, nor perfect questions, nor a perfect marriage. But they have observed marriage patterns and do love to engage in mutual learning. Come bring the authenticity (messy or not) of your marriage and let’s enjoy learning from each other!
