Early Encounters is a ministry of Parkway Heights to children and families. Early Encounters is a 3 STAR learning center offering low staff to child ratios, low group sizes, high quality learning environments and nutritional meals. We have highly-trained staff that offer daily planned activities, developmentally appropriate practice and a learning environment that promotes optimal growth and development for children. Learn what our Quality Star rating means for your child.
Early Encounters believes that all children begin learning at birth. It is the role of the teacher to provide guidance and expectations for the child that gives them positive learning experiences. We believe learning should be fun, challenging and always age-appropriate. It is our goal to instill a love for learning and the ability to make good choices in all children who enter our program.
Early Encounters offers a weekly theme-based lesson plan of daily activities that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical development. Daily activities include blocks, dramatic play, fine motor, gross motor, art/crafts, reading, science, math, music, sand/water and writing. Our preschool age classes include Between the Lions early literacy program in their curriculum. Preschool age children also attend chapel once a week. All lesson plans meet the Early Learning Guidelines and Common Core Standards.
“Early Encounters is an equal opportunity provider.”
