Drama
Drama is an important aspect of our worship at Parkway Heights. From occasional mini-dramas in worship to full productions at Christmas and Easter, the Drama ministry seeks to make disciples through insightful and meaningful drama. We are always looking for people willing to help write, plan, direct, and act! Stage crew, lighting help and costumers are often needed as well.
Choir Ensembles
Sanctuary Choir
The Sanctuary Choir is dedicated to providing musical leadership on Sunday mornings at the 10:55 a.m. service. This choir prepares special music for holidays and other church events. Music selected for the choir ranges from classical pieces to spirituals. A general knowledge of music and sight-reading ability is helpful but not necessary.
Praise Choir & Band
This ensemble presents contemporary music and leads worship at the 8:30 a.m. service on Sundays. Instrumentalists and vocalists are welcome.
G.L.O.R.Y. (God's Legion of Retired Youth) Choir
This choir includes singers age 55 and above. They frequently share their message and their talents in the surrounding community at assisted living residences and nursing homes.
Children's Music
Children's Choirs
Our children's choir program offers a chance for our littlest angels to lift their voices in song. The choirs sing often in worship and for other events throughout the year. Occasionally, the choirs will learn and present a special musical production. During choir time, the children will experiment with dance and various instruments. Additionally, choir time is paired with an activity time where the children explore missions, outreach, service, and arts and crafts.
Cherubs: Ages 3 & 4 sing during Sunday School time
Alpha Choir: K-2nd grade
Omega Choir: 3-6th grade
Alpha and Omega choirs meet on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 p.m.
